The Finnish Sub-corpus of the Newspaper and Periodical Corpus of the National Library of Finland version 2, VRT is available at the download service at Kielipankki. Access to this resource is restricted (apply for access).
Please note that this resource is very large: the total size of all 25 download packages is more than half a terabyte. The downloadable VRT version contains about 22 billion words of text supplemented with the various types of annotations added by the Language Bank. For beginning users, we recommend the previously published Korp version of the same data. For a listing of all available versions and variants, see the resource group page.
The oldest texts from the years 1771-1874 were considered by the Language Bank as copyright-free.
