General description of the service and the purpose of processing personal data

The Language Bank portal is a national language research showcase website.

The service processes log data pertaining to the use of the web pages included in the service, as well as the data of logged-in users who administer the service and edit its content. Personal data are used to ensure the functioning of the service, identify problems, collect statistics on service use and improve services.

The grounds for the processing of personal data is the legitimate interest of the controller.

Personal data processed

Data included in the service log files are processed to solve technical problems and to ensure the security of the service.

The portal stores and processes the following personal data of the Language Bank of Finland staff when they log in to the administrative user interface:

• User ID (eppn)
• Name
• Email address

Duration of the processing of personal data

All stored data are removed after two years.
