The personal data of individuals who compile, own or are otherwise associated with the corpora and other resources stored in the Language Bank of Finland are processed as part of the related metadata. These metadata are openly published as part of the metadata related to the corpora and other resources. Open publication takes place, for example, through the META-SHARE service or the corpora listing on the kielipankki.fi website as readable websites as well as through interfaces that enable automated harvesting. Metadata are needed, for example, to make the further scientific use of corpora possible. The grounds for the processing of personal data is public interest.

The Language Bank of Finland processes personal data included in the metadata of corpora and other resources for as long as the maintenance of the metadata is the responsibility of the Language Bank of Finland.
