General description of customer service, communication and cooperation, purpose of the processing of personal data

The Language Bank of Finland communicates with its customers and partners particularly through email. For this purpose, the Language Bank of Finland has several jointly administered service addresses, but the email addresses of individual Language Bank of Finland employees are also used for customer service activities. Problems related to customer service and cooperation are resolved collaboratively, with related personal data processed, for example, in a joint ticketing system. For communication purposes, we maintain mailing lists pertaining to various interest groups.

The grounds for the processing of personal data is the legitimate interest of the controller.

Personal data processed

For the purposes of customer service, communication and cooperation, the following personal data are processed:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Address
  • ORCID identifier
  • Organisations related to the person

Duration of the processing of personal data

Personal data are removed upon the request of data subjects, or when the storage of personal data is no longer necessary for the purposes of customer service, communication or cooperation.
