The Corpus of Finnish Sign Language, part 2 is now available for download in the Language Bank of Finland.
The resource extends the previous Corpus of Finnish Sign Language, already available in the Language Bank of Finland. Similarly to the first part, the second part is divided into two subcorpora, one including elicited narratives (cfinsl-elicit-p2) and the other including signed conversations (cfinsl-conv-p2) from 12 signers. The elicited narratives are publicly available, whereas the conversations are available under a restricted license upon individual application. Further details on the available versions and the download links can be found on the resource group page.
To avoid potential confusion, the condition ’ND’ (’No Derivatives’, which is normally an optional restriction in Creative Commons licenses) has been removed from the licenses of the conversation subcorpora of the Corpus of Finnish Sign Language (original and part 2) and the Corpus of Finland-Swedish Sign Language. Note, however, that this minor change has not yet been updated in all of the license files enclosed with the download packages. The most recent version of the license of each dataset is available on the Language Bank website and via the metadata record of the resource.
In addition, please note that both the Finnish and the Finland-Swedish Sign Language corpora contain personal data that may only be processed under the resource-specific data protection terms and conditions. The data protection conditions are included in the licenses of the resources in question.
