Most of the resources available through the Language Bank of Finland are originally provided by other organisations, research groups, individual researchers or other parties external to the Language Bank of Finland. A written agreement has been concluded for certain corpora, or the Language Bank of Finland has been granted, through electronic correspondence, the right to further distribute the corpora. To ensure the appropriate handling of the resources stored in the Language Bank of Finland and related metadata, the Language Bank of Finland stores related agreements and correspondence as well as personal data related to the resources.
The grounds for the processing of personal data is the legitimate interest of the controller.
For the purposes of storing and further distributing corpora and other resources, the following personal data are processed:
Personal data are removed upon the request of data subjects, or when the storage of personal data is no longer necessary to ensure the appropriate handling of corpora, for example after a corpus and related metadata have been permanently removed from the Language Bank of Finland.
